Currently we don't really have any affiliate programs set up - however, if I did - I probably wouldn't have them being automatically approved, as I too would want to ensure the right type of websites were going to be advertising my services.

Rainbow Designs has an affiliate program with ClixGalore - I have it set to automatically approve new affiliates but do go through them every month or so. I'm busy enough as it is without adding another job on my to do list - trying to automate everything!

I do find though that my main affiliates (the ones that actually send me paying customers!) prefer to use their own images/text so it fits in better with their website. I find they like to use photos of the products more so than generic banners.
